“The [consulting] workshops with CEG have been one of the finest and most insightful sessions that I have attended during my 15 years of college counseling experience. Getting introduced to minute nuances of curating effective essays and supplements, while also guiding students through innovative thinking and creative writing, has just been phenomenal. Frequently Asked Questions
  • I’m a college counselor in a school or CBO setting. Does this service apply to me?

Yes! Our consultants have worked with both school and CBO counselors to help them improve their students’ applications, with a particular lens on minimizing missed opportunities and avoiding small missteps that can leave an applicant lost in the shuffle. Working with our team allows you and your team to have insight into what an actual admissions officer might be thinking as they read through your students’ work, and give you the tools and insights to be able to relay that message to current and future students.

  • Are there pay-what-you-can and/or sliding scale fee options available?

Unfortunately, this offering is not eligible for pay-what-you-can. We recommend looking into our highly selective course as an alternative.

  • I’m an IEC. Does this service apply to me?

Yes! Many IECs help bolster and maintain their credibility among students and families when they have positive admissions outcomes and results. When students and families have more college options they are excited about, that means more referrals and testimonials for your service.

  • What’s the maximum number of students I can have reviewed?

Up to 10 former and current students. Additional student reviews can be negotiated with our consulting team (for a fee).

  • Do you work with students on their applications?

No – for this service, all of our feedback sessions and interactions are with you and/or the rest of your counseling team. You as the counselor/educator will make copies of student application materials and share them with our team via Google Docs to make the feedback process as efficient and direct as possible.
